Charlottesville Police received a bomb-threat report at Charlottesville High School at 11:38 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2, a CCS family-teacher conference day with no regular classes. Staff and the few parents and students on site were evacuated to the football stadium.

Chief Michael Kochis said investigators believe the call may have been swatting. Sweeps and a K-9 search found no explosives, and CBS 19 reported a secondary search cleared the campus.

Classes resume this week. Police had not announced an arrest at press time.
